The opening reception last Saturday for the
Drawn, Quartered, Repurposed exhibition at the
K Gallery was a resounding success!
Drawn, Quartered, Repurposed is showing at the
gallery until October 28, 2022, and features the work of
Ginny Parsons and
Tom White.
Ginny is presenting her Bike series on one side of the gallery . . .

. . . who would be treated to the keyboard artistry of Emmett Kotapish who was there at the request of Ginny.
The
weather was perfect, not too hot, not too cold; Ginny, Mark, Tom and friends enjoyed
the glorious day with the warm sunshine that filled the parking lot
where people could gather before viewing the art . . .
. . . but Emmett was ready for them . . .
There was yummy food provided by friends of Ginny . . .
I was able to talk to Emmett and his mother, Siobhán (I pray I am spelling her name right) . . .
. . . Emmett is currently in high school and is planning a career in music. His performance was great; I hope he does well.
I always like entering the Rhythmix; it makes me feel 'Special' . . .
At the entrance of the gallery, Tom with Minoo & Danielle . . .
Ginny had made cookies and they were there . . .
. . . as was Ginney, taking a well deserved break before the crowd got there . . .

Eleanore was resplendent!
Ron & Tom
Tom & Jessa
. . . and of course, the stars of the exhibition, Ginny & Tom who each sold some of their work!
So, in essence, the reception was a success . . .
Drawn, Quartered, Repurposed is a two for one experience that makes for a pretty dynamic exhibition. Leave it to the Rhythmix Cultural Works to set up a doozy of a show like this!

What a perfect day for a gala opening! It was exciting to see Tom's latest experiments along with some of his classics (Oh that "Kaleidescape" and the extraordinary "Self Portrait"!! ) And to be introduced to Ms. Parson's velocipedic oeuvre. The sublime sounds of Emmett Kotapish were a memorable accompaniment to the visuals. And of course the remarkable documentation by Styrous puts a fine spin on all! Much appreciation to everyone involved! It takes a village.
