No successful film would be complete without the products marketed under the auspice of it. Star Wars was no exception; in fact, it may be the greatest product-marketed film of all time.
Postcards and note cards go along with it as per the Darth Vader postcard, shown above, by Classico San Francisco. And Shoebox Greetings by Hallmark Cards was right in the thick of it as well.

This Darth Vader
greeting card was only one of dozens Shoebox produced; as usual, most
of them had a humorous slant to them such as, "Darth Vader offers
fashion advice." Oh, my!
Every single character featured in a Star Wars film was utilized for marketing purposes. Not even the deadly At-At (All Terrane Armored Transport) walkers, introduced in The Empire Strikes Back and designed by Joe Johnston, were immune.
