This
month marks the Tenth Anniversary of the Gray Loft Gallery. The inaugural exhibition for the gallery, on February 10, 2012, was the first Love Show (link below).
This, the third Love Show
exhibition, will open on Saturday, February 12, 2022, and will be
showing until March 19, 2022. The opening reception will be on February
12, from 3 to 7 PM. The gallery will be open on Saturdays from 1 to 5
PM. The closing reception will be on Saturday, March 19, from 4 to 7 PM.
The Gray Loft Gallery was founded in 2012 by photographer Jan Watten when her airy Jingletown loft was
converted to a gallery space. The gallery has been referred to as a
hidden gem in Jingletown, and noted by the late Kenneth Baker, former SF Chronicle art critic, in his Visual Arts Don’t Miss column as "…A space gaining prominence in the Bay Area…”
The mission of the alternative gallery is to provide exhibition opportunities for artists in a setting that is an alternative to the traditional gallery model. Jan Watten aims to inspire, engage, celebrate and acknowledge the achievements of artists at every level, integrating established artists with emerging and mid-career artists in a non-traditional art space. She believes Art is a vehicle for communication, community building and inspiration and wants to encourage the appreciation and interest in the arts by presenting work in a non-exclusive, welcoming, professional and fun environment. She hopes to cultivate the belief that art is for everyone, and that art belongs in our community at large, not just in traditional gallery and museum environments.

The Gray Loft Gallery
celebrates its ten years by reprising its opening show with a group
exhibition that explores the universal language of love as well as the
love of
art with The Love Show.
Both Tom White and I had work in the inaugural exhibition in 2012 and I am proud and honored that Yeledily, the image above, is one of my works that will be shown in this 2022 version of the exhibition. Tom's work, Valentine for the Gray Loft Gallery, will also be shown in the ten year celebration.
