Beemer Memory 11: Leatherneck posters



It was in November of 1977 that I performed a dance at the Leatherneck bar (see Beemer 4 link below) in San Francisco, CA, to promote an event (see Beemer 10 link below). I started out fully clothed in motorcycle leathers and was almost completely nude at the end; it was all done tongue-in-cheek (pun intended, just couldn't resist it).

I was a male stripper at the Hungry i on Broadway in San Francisco at the time doing the "Love Act" (see Beemer 5 link below). This was a couple of years before the famed Chippendale dancers hit the scene in Los Angeles. Guess I was a little ahead of the times.

During the performance, photographer, Jim Stewart, got some shots of the dance and some of them were used as images for promotional posters for the bar.
