Ernest J. Beall, was born in the deep south in 1914. The story of his miraculous neckties began in 1954 when he was a Columbia Records executive. He was not happy with the ties available on the market so he decided to do something about it (link below).
The results were amazing! The ties he ultimately designed were works of wonder and true wearable art pieces twenty years before that movement began (link below). There are some great photos of his ties on the Fedora Lounge (link below).
