Led Zeppelin III is the third studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released on the 5th of October in 1970, fifty-one years ago.            

This album is going into the "Just the cover, ma'am" category (link below) because the cover is the subject and needs no words. It is a gatefold format but inside the front part is a wheel that can be turned so that different images appear in the die cut openings.

Favorite tracks? The opener has always grabbed me! The yell? howl? by Robert Plant is a ferocious reference to the Valkyrie of Norse mythology. Since I've Been Loving You is also a knockout for me with its very slow blues sound. Tangerine is right in there. It is a beautiful love song. And I love the bouncy, syncopated beat and hand claps of Bron-Y-Aur Stomp.
