Guy Lombardo ~ New Year's Eve

Auld Lang Syne has been recorded a gazillion times by many artists ranging from this traditional version by Guy Lombardo to a punk rock version in 1980 by the English group The Boys who recorded it under the name, The Yobs (link below).
They start the song out pretty straight but it's like they just can't get it
right until the fourth try and by then it is pretty raucous, with
chimes, even!!!

In many countries, New Year's Eve is celebrated at evening parties, where many people dance, eat, drink, and watch or light fireworks. Some Christians attend a watchnight service. The celebrations generally go on past midnight into New Year's Day, 1 January.
The Line Islands (part of Kiribati) and Tonga, are examples of the first places to welcome the New Year, while Baker Island (an uninhabited atoll part of the United States Minor Outlying Islands) and American Samoa are among the last.
Music associated with New Year's Eve comes in both classical and popular genres, and there are Christmas songs that focus on the arrival of a new year during the Christmas and holiday season (link below), such as the afore mentioned Auld Lang Syne which was written by Scottish poet and lyricist, Robert Burns.
