I usually watch Meet the Press on Sunday mornings. I'd like to watch This Week but it's on at the same time. I've never figured out WHY networks do that sort of bull shit!
Anyway, while I was watching this morning's broadcast, Queen Elizabeth II posted an elegant, warm and "from the heart" message to encourage her people (link below).

televised address to the citizens of the UK

In her message she urged all to remain “resolute and united” in the battle to overcome the corona virus pandemic. She thanked the bravery of the medical people who have sacrificed so much. She praised all who are staying at home for helping to “protect the vulnerable and sparing many families the pain already felt by those who have lost loved ones.” The closing line of her address was the title of a song made popular by Vera Lynn during the Second World War to boost the country's moral, We'll Meet Again. It was a beautiful and perfect ending.
The recorded address – filmed at Windsor Castle – was aired at 8pm, April 5, 2020, and was watched by millions across the UK and Commonwealth.
It's
too bad there couldn't have been a message like this, or with some
element of compassion, from the United States. What a missed
opportunity!
