Marek Grychczynski was born and educated in Poland where he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and graduated with an M.A. degree. He now resides
and works in Jingletown, Oakland, California.
He works in oil, acrylic and with tempera and oil paint together. He says his abstract art is influenced by ancient civilizations and nature. His work is bold, dynamic and startling at times.
