Eighty years ago, the first jazz concert was held at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. The performers were Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Lionel Hampton, Billie Holiday, Artie Shaw, Roy Eldridge and Jack Teagarden.
Lady Holiday was fantastic as always, weaving her way with some nice bluesy moves. Links to both performances below.
