On TV 7: Giacobbe "Jake" LaMotta ~ A raging bull
The man on whom the film Raging Bull was based, Jake LaMotta, died yesterday; he was portrayed by Robert De Niro.
I wanted to photograph the album from the soundtrack of the film as a
tribute to him but it was not to happen; however, it will at a later
date.
All the networks carried the news and I got some screen shots. I watch PBS, so, these images are from that source.
The soundtrack of the film featured the Intermezzo from the oprera, Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni. it is one of the most beautiful of all the great opera moments. The film featured it with full string orchestra, harp and pipe organ (link below).
