20,000 vinyl LPs 294: Plastic Ono Band ~ Some Time In New York City

Forty-nine years ago, on the 12th of June in 1972, the Plastic Ono Band (John Lennon, Yoko Ono) released the album, Some Time in New York City. (links below).     
 
“And you know how bad the reviews were of our Plastic Ono albums?” John asked. “They shredded us! “‘elf-indulgent, simplistic whining’ – that was the main gist. Because those albums were about ourselves, you see, and not about [David Bowie’s] Ziggy Stardust or [The Who’s] Tommy. . . .  And Mind Games, they hated it.”
