Edward R. Murrow KBE (born Egbert Roscoe Murrow;
April 25, 1908 – April 27, 1965) was an American broadcast journalist.
He was generally referred to as Ed Murrow. He first came to prominence
with a series of radio broadcasts for the news division of the Columbia Broadcasting System during World War II, which were followed by millions of listeners in the United States.
From 1951 to 1955, Murrow was the host of This I Believe,
which offered ordinary people the opportunity to speak for five minutes
on radio. He continued to present daily radio news reports on the CBS
Radio Network until 1959. He also recorded a series of narrated
"historical albums" for Columbia Records called I Can Hear It Now, which inaugurated his partnership with producer Fred W. Friendly. In 1950 the records evolved into a weekly CBS Radio show, Hear It Now, hosted by Murrow and co-produced by Murrow and Friendly.

Debbie Reynolds ~ Singin' In the Rain

The first film in which I saw Debbie Reynolds was, Singin' in the Rain. It was 1952, she was just 19 years old and she was as "cute as a button". I was 12 years old and I fell totally in love with her! It is my very favorite musical film; I will always love it and never get tired of watching it. Of all her many films it is the one I will always associate with her.

Earth, Wind & Fire (EWF) is an American band that has spanned the musical genres of R&B, soul, funk, jazz, disco, pop, rock, Latin and African. They are one of the most successful bands of all time. Rolling Stone Magazine
described them as "innovative, precise yet sensual, calculated yet
galvanizing" and declared that the band "changed the sound of black
pop". The band was founded in Chicago by Maurice White (December 19, 1941 – February 4, 2016) in 1970.

As usual, I have favorite cuts from this album. At the top is the opener for the album, Time Is On Your Side. A driving syncopated and jazzy tune backed up with brass. It can be danced to sensually and vigorously or with slow, steamy determination. Very erotic!
My second favorite is, Mom. It has a quiet guitar intro. It is a gentle cha-cha with orchestral backing and some terrific piano by Larry Dunn. It has a very sensual and romantic instrumental break featuring Dunn.
