Ring Around Rosie is a 1957 studio album by Rosemary Clooney and the vocal group The Hi-Lo's, a male vocal quartet formed in 1953, who achieved their greatest fame in the late 1950s and 1960s. The group's name is a reference to their extreme vocal and physical ranges (Bob Strasen (baritone) and Bob Morse (baritone) were tall, Gene Puerling (bass-baritone) and Clark Burroughs (tenor) were short). They were occasionally supported by Frank Sinatra.

Clooney's first recordings, in May 1946, were for Columbia Records. She sang with the Tony Pastor big band. Clooney continued working with the Pastor band until 1949, making her last recording with the band in May of that year and her first as a solo artist a month later, still for Columbia.

She recorded several duets with Marlene Dietrich and appeared in the early 1950s on the Faye Emerson Wonderful Town series on CBS. Clooney also did several guest appearances on the Arthur Godfrey radio show.
