Saturday, November 11, 2023, Tracing Passages at the Gray Loft Gallery will be closing. As a gesture of thanks to all who have supported his work over the years, Tom will be offering a 10% discount on all his work during the closing reception to be held that day. The reception will be from 5 to 7:30 PM with a special preview from 3 to 5.
Tom has been working in a new vein with collage of his previous images in what he has called, Drawn and Quartered. Tom has said of this new work:
"My personal journals are a chest of gifts:… I just open the book and each page either informs my journey or it’s torn out of its binding, then torn into quarters and added to a collection of materials for a large painting collage in which each scrap is glued to Belgian linen with acrylic paint as the adhesive."
Also showing in the three-person exhibition have been two artists invited by Jan Watten, director of the gallery; Ruth Boerefijn and Cuong Ta.
