Today, August 4, 2020, is the birthday of Barak Obama, the 44th president of the United States from 2009 to 2017. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, making him the first president not born in the contiguous United States.

To me he is a hero who has done much for this country and the best tributes that I can give to him have already been posted to YouTube (links below).

Aretha Franklin died today of pancreatic cancer; I couldn't believe it! She was 76 years old. As with all the great people I have loved, it seemed she would go on forever. Well, she will in my heart.

It Isn't, It Wasn't, It Ain't Never Gonna Be is a duet recorded between Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston, and appeared on Franklin's 1989 album Through the Storm. It was released as a single in June of that year. It peaked at #41 on the Billboard Hot 100.

In 2009, she sang, My Country Tis Of Thee, at the inauguration of Barack Obama, the 44th and 1st African American president (links below).
